20:28 Left outside, shunned and forgotten, is a sphere-shaped walrus, a globe spinning with no control. Rain trickles down its smooth surface, cold stinging skin, liquid watering eyes, as stumpy arms fail to thwart it. Gaia and Terra imprison it, slowly pushing its helpless body back and forth, through mud and sharp stones. It hasContinue reading “Sphere-shaped Emptiness”

Nature vs Structure
20:27 Rain and time are nature’s weapons, nurturing life outside your human structure. A well- tended garden drowns in a jungle, crawling closer to your domain. The house cries out as weeds and trees grow, piercing and merging into its brick body. Misaligned tiles sneak water from above. Damaged ceilings drip, drip, drip onto dampContinue reading “Nature vs Structure”
Structure of Man
20:26 A new person holds the used key, ready to enter the man-made structure, built with another’s memories and dreams. The door sticks a little, unlocking with a special jiggle few know. Its voice is silent, forgotten from disuse, but the walls still hold evidence of its hidden personality. Words are written on its core,Continue reading “Structure of Man”
Return
Pressing loneliness of isolation, all the more heavy with its second capture. Happiness is here, but despair still lingers, ready to snatch you and choke away your peace. Pounding trap returns, banging shut a coffin only you can feel. Tears flow with no reason, drowning all positivity you know exists beyond the cloud. Can youContinue reading “Return”
The parents of Hansel and Gretel

She would return with it.Continue reading “The parents of Hansel and Gretel”
Goose Girl
I am the wind you discovered, abused to push off a boy’s hat while my true power is never considered. Neither is yours. You’re weak, like a real princess should be. Convinced to give up your birthright with a few forceful words.
Fragile Potential
Anxiety, temper, buttons. Push, push, push. One more push and it will shatter. This fragile potential you won’t acknowledge as more. Trust is there, but it’s new, unfamiliar. Test it too much and watch it disappear.
Top club
Tap, slip, poke, shove, guide it to the goal and feel the rush of victory.
Absent
A weary head leans to the left for a shoulder that’s not there to support it. Life and distance separates them. But distractions are absent, and the head now mourns for the shoulder it took for granted and let slip away.
Patience
Poke and bang at iron layers. Bashing and grunting to see beneath. Questions and theories to stab and pierce, instead of coaxing and gentle peeling. Any progress made is slammed shut, with a new layer of iron underneath your fingers.
