Fallen Wing
Episode Fourteen: Freedom
[Scene opens to extreme close eye view of a closed eye. Camera slowly pans out until you can see it’s Firo, laying asleep on fire caves floor (near throne area). Someone steps just in front of camera, looking down at him. Woman front view to see her smiling fondly. She’s clearly an ice immortal with long white hair and deep blue eyes, appearance-wise looks in her early twenties. Wearing a white and black dress. Firo side view/woman front view as she knelts down beside him, gently stroking his hair to wake him.]
Narrator: People may regret inflicting pain on others, wishing they could avoid it.
[Firo opens his eyes but doesn’t look at her, just gazes up, heart broken.]
Woman: I’m leaving now. I’m sorry I had to hurt you like this.
Narrator: But to have left them with false hope would have been more painful in the end.
[Woman stands up and begins to walk away. Firo closes eyes and breathes in before sitting up. Woman/Firo front view.]
Firo: Nebula.
[Woman/Nebula stops and turns head. Nebula back view.]
Firo: Why are you with him? Doing this won’t give you what you want.
[Nebula back view (face still faced that way) who looks pained, she sighs.]
Nebula: Maybe not, but I couldn’t get what I wanted no matter what I did. [Puts hands on stomach] And I know I definitely couldn’t if I was with you. I feel too judged around you. I am what I am. I accept it. You need to do the same for yourself.
[Nebula front view as turns head and starts walking again.]
Narrator: All you can do is hope one day they will understand, even if you’re no longer there to see it.
Firo: I was going to tell you my real name, you know.
[Nebula stops walking and sighs, a few tears sliding down her face. She doesn’t turn around, and keeps her voice steady.]
Nebula: Right now, you’ve lost your true name. But I know one day you’ll find it again, and share it with the one person you’re really meant to be with.
[Firo front view, who looks away to the side, heart broken.]
Narrator: And you pray for their happiness, a true happiness you could never have yourself. Because deep down, you wished things had been different, and you were that person who could free him from himself.
[While Narrator talking see brief flash of Nebula on Shiro Mountain, entering Leila’s cave, facing off with her. Another flash to see Nebula and Ignatius in fire caves, her handing him the weapon piece, smiling. Firo is watching them, glaring and worried. Another flash to see Ignatius press weapon piece against Nebula’s neck, murderous glint in eye. Firo front view as he lets out a silent cry of horror, reaching towards them. Screen splattered in blood, then goes black.]
[Opening credits.]
[Scene opens to fire caves. Ignatius/Firo side view (same as at end of episode thirteen). Ignatius close face side view as he smirks.]
Ignatius: Very well. You always were useless; your loss will be of no consequence.
[Firo close face side view (injured eye side) who remains silent, looking determined.]
[Ignatius front view as smirk drops and he winces, putting pressure on hand wound. Pan down a little to see Laurel’s weapon near his feet, blood on the tip. Back view to see Ignatius’ back and side wound, then close up of leg wound. Firo front view, looking at wounds and then at Ignatius.]
Firo: I hope it hurts. I want you to feel every cut and burn before I slit your throat.
[Ignatius front view who holds up weapon piece in uninjured (left) hand.]
Ignatius: You won’t live long enough to get this from me.
[Ignatius side view as he dashes forward, weapon piece raised to his chest level in front of him. Firo side view who watches calmly, Ignatius/Firo side view to see he’s nearly reached him. Ignatius back view as a wall of fire springs up in front of Firo, making Ignatius stop and jump back. Ignatius side view.]
Ignatius: Still hiding? I thought you were going to kill me.
[Firo front view (through fire) who is grimacing. Firo close side view (injured eye side) as he presses a hand to injured eye/face.]
Firo [thoughts]: I need to concentrate to make fire, but this injury is sapping my strength.
[Firo’s point of view looking at Ignatius (through fire).]
Firo [thoughts]: But his must be doing the same.
[Firo side view as lets flame die down and leaps at Ignatius. Ignatius/Firo side view as Ignatius grins and slashes at him. Firo close side view as he ducks blade (no longer on screen). Firo back view as he crouches down. Close hand view as he grabs Laurel’s weapon. Firo back view as Ignatius kicks him from the side with his uninjured (left) leg, hitting him on the side of his head, knocking him to the ground. Firo front view to see dazed, but still clutching weapon. Firo back view as Ignatius roars and clutches at injured leg in pain. Firo front view as he shuffles/crawls away (screen right) until off screen (still dazed). Firo side view (can see Ignatius front view to right of screen) as he climbs unsteadily to feet (facing Ignatius), weapon ready in hand. Ignatius glares at him.]
Ignatius: You gave him that weapon piece! Where? The Fire realm, the Water? Or maybe the Earth.
[Firo front view who looks down at weapon and shrugs, beginning to swing it around.]
Firo: Actually, I made this myself.
[Firo back view as Ignatius scoffs.]
Ignatius: Impossible; only the real Firo could make the immortal weapon.
[Firo front view who shrugs.]
Firo: It seems to have worked fine on you. Now, are you going to stall forever?
[Ignatius front view who growls and throws weapon piece. Firo front view who blinks in surprise and barely dodges out of the way to his right (screen left). Firo back view as looks at direction weapon piece went. Ignatius begins charging forward. Firo snaps head back round in surprise, raising weapon in front of his chest. Firo/Ignatius side view as Ignatius charges into him, knocking Firo to ground. (Close up of weapon/chest when make impact so see it go in). Ignatius front view, weapon still in Ignatius’ chest. He roars in pain, blood spluttering from mouth. Looks down at Firo on floor, eyes enraged. Ignatius back view (looking over his shoulder to see Firo) to show Firo clutching at right arm (dislocated) and struggling to move.]
Firo [thoughts] [gasping]: I forgot…how heavy he is.
[Firo back view as Ignatius rips weapon from his chest and bends over, wrapping arms around Firo’s neck. Firo struggles weakly, but soon gives up. Ignatius back view (so can see Firo’s face, now red).]
Firo [thoughts]: Aaron, why did you challenge this monster?
[White flash. Aaron and Firo at hotel, Firo turned away (front view closest to camera) depressed/haunted look while Aaron yells at his back, concerned.]
Aaron: Look, I don’t know what was going on between you and that girl, but you can’t give up! If you give up hope, we’ll never find a way to free you.
[Aaron back view as Firo begins to chuckle, a hysterical manic laugh. Firo close back view.]
Firo: Free me? You really think I can be freed?
[Turns around to face Aaron/camera, humourless smile on face.]
Firo: Look at me Aaron; my human life ended long ago. I’m stuck. I don’t age, I don’t get to love, I don’t get to have a family and I don’t get to be free! I’m not the person you used to know. Stop looking for him.
[Firo back view/Aaron front view, who has his head down, clenches hands into fists.]
Aaron: Iris is pregnant. I want you to be there to see our baby grow, and I want you to care. You’re my friend Dint, I’ll never give up on you.
[Brief flash of Aaron back view stood in front of fire cave entrance. Front view to see his determined face. Flash to Ignatius front view/Aaron back view in throne area. Firo is on the floor between them. Ignatius front view to see him holding blood vial in hand, swirling the needle inside it. Pan down to see Firo withering in agony on floor. Aaron back view.]
Aaron: Let him go!
[Ignatius/Aaron side view as Aaron lunges forward, trying to grab vial. Ignatius stops stirring needle and raises hand to grab Aaron’s throat, halting him.]
Ignatius: You’ve just overstepped your boundaries, human.
[Firo front view as squints in pain. Hear a loud squeezing sound and then a resounding crack. Hear a thud as Aaron’s body lands in front of Firo/camera (blocking view). Firo low bird’s eye view so can see him staring at Aaron, who is still, with eyes closed but neck at odd angle.]
Firo [thoughts]: Did you really think I was worth saving? After all this?
[Brief flash of Iris back view, trembling. Firo front view beyond her, looking solemn. Iris front view to see her crying, screaming (silent). Brief flash of Iris in bed, cradling a newly born Patrick with a sad smile.]
Iris: He looks just like him.
[Iris back view/Firo front view who looks away, annoyed.]
Firo: No, he doesn’t.
[Back to Firo face view in present, face almost purple.]
Firo [thoughts]: Did you really think people would be happier this way?
[Firo side view (can see Ignatius leaning over him) as flames begin to spring alive around him, targeting him. Close up of neck to see flames on it, burning Ignatius’ hands. Ignatius side view as he lets go and jumps back, standing up. Ignatius front view to see confusion. Firo front view who smiles, now completely on fire.
[Brief flash of young human Firo (aged twelve) front view. In the field of ashes, dark, back view to see a red blur visible in the distance.]
Firo [thoughts]: Did Firo know this would happen when she chose me? Or did I disappoint her too? I just don’t know anymore. What was the point of all this?
[Ignatius back view to see last fire die away, leaving only a pile of ash. Ignatius front view who looks bemused.]
Ignatius: This is how you chose to end your life? Pathetic.
[Ignatius back view, then pan out to an Arlen back view, hovering in air from a safe distance. Arlen front view, face blank, watching the ash. Ash close view as it begins to stir. Side view as a dragon springs/forms from it, head emerging first then rest of body with a roar. Ignatius back view as see him startled as ash dragon jumps, mouth open, at him (slow motion). Ash form changes to red scales (ripple type effect). Dragon side view as this happens (still slow motion). Dragon/Ignatius side view as Ignatius steps back, so the dragon lands out of reach, jaw snapping shut on air. (Dragon is the same height as Ignatius when it has its neck raised.) Raises neck and glares at Ignatius. Dragon front view to see murderous glint in eyes. Ignatius front view to show shock/fear before he lets out a choked laugh. Dragon/Ignatius side view.]
Ignatius: So you can use some of her power. But no matter what, you know you’ll never be good enough. You became my slave because it’s a role that suits you. You liked not having a choice. Those people are relying on you and you’re going to fail them, just like before.
[Dragon close side view.]
Dragon/Firo [echo effect]: So be it.
[Brief Ignatius front view as he gasps in fear. Dragon close side view as opens mouth and lets out a stream of fire. Few seconds of this. Ignatius screaming in pain.]
Dragon/Firo [echo effect]: I won’t hide anymore.
[Further back dragon side view as flames stops, only a pile of ash left where Ignatius was. Dragon tilts head back and lets out a huge roar.]
[Scene change to Fern back view (carrying Laurel piggy back style) who looks around towards camera, startled.]
Fern: Did you hear that?
[Group back view. Nat and Asha are supporting Nevan, who’s unconscious. Also looking towards fire caves/camera.]
Nat: That doesn’t sound good. Not when we’re like this.
Fern: We should go help him.
Nat: How? If we don’t get one-eye back, he’ll bleed to death! He wanted to fight on his own; we should respect that.
Asha: Trudging miles through the desert isn’t helping much either
[Fern front view as she turns head back and sighs.]
Fern: You’re right, let’s keep going.
[Fern starts moving forward then squints at something in the distance, frowning. Fern’s point of view to see blur in the distance. As it gets closer can make out Iris with a pull cart, determined look on face.]
[Change to low bird’s eye view of group, Iris has now reached them. Laurel is already on cart, face down, and Nat and Asha are manoeuvring Nevan onto it. Fern/Iris side view as Fern turns to Iris.]
Fern: Thanks, you’ve really saved us.
[Iris gives a tired smile.]
Iris: I’ve had enough experience with Dint to know when I’m needed. Come on, we need to get your friend back.
[Scene change to fire caves (fires all gone out), dragon gone. Can still see Ignatius’ pile of ash and another one where the dragon was stood before. See it tremor. Close side view of ash pile as a hand breaks through, followed by Firo’s head, who’s coughing (covered in ash). Pull upper body out (naked). Front view as pulls rest of self out (blurred). Arlen comes flying towards him from beyond camera then down towards Firo. Firo close front view (only see upper body) as Arlen hovers near his right shoulder (left of screen).]
Arlen: That was better than last time, but you’re still tiny compared to the original Firo.
[Firo glares tiredly at him, annoyed.]
Firo: I know. I saw her, remember?
Arlen: So I’ve heard. Isn’t that the same attack you used to kill her?
[Firo winces and moves to stand up. Arlen moves out of the way. Camera moves up with Firo as he stands, giving Arlen a suspicious look.]
Firo: Why are you still here? You could have waited with the others.
Arlen: Don’t get all paranoid. I’m here to observe, as usual. No one’s snatching your freedom away.
Firo [scoffs]: Ulmar is here, and he’s the one who collected my blood last time.
Arlen: Only your blood from before you became Firo would have worked. Ulmar is too weak to hurt you.
[Firo stays unsure a moment, then nods, looking satisfied.]
Arlen: Looks like you’ll have a scar though.
[Firo touches injured eye/face (has stopped bleeding since emerged from ashes). Removes hand and slowly tries to open injured eye. Close eye view as opens it.]
[Scene change to Inn room (bird’s eye view). Laurel on his front on bed nearest door (still unconscious), with Nevan sat on a chair beside it (side furthest from door), using healing barrier on his back. Asha, Fern and Iris are sat on other bed, watching. Agape and Nat are stood near the door. Agape holding bloodied bandages while Nat takes them off him and exits the room. Change to Laurel side view/Nevan front view, who still looks tired.]
Nevan: I can heal him so he’s not in danger, but I’ll need more rest before I can finish.
[Fern/Asha/Iris front view.]
Fern: Can’t you take energy from us again?
[Nevan front view who shakes head.]
Nevan: I only took it last time because we were desperate, but it’s not something you can keep doing. It would start effecting your strength and stamina permanently. He’ll just sleep until I can heal him anyway; there’s no reason to risk it.
[Door view as it opens, Nat coming back in, followed by Firo. Now wearing a loose robe covered in sand while carrying Laurel’s two weapon pieces and immortal weapon piece. Nevan back view as Nat heads to bedside table, near left corner of room (nearest door) and grabs some bandages.]
Nat: You really need to clean that wound out.
[Firo looks at him, raises eyebrow in amusement.]
Firo: I didn’t realise you were a mother hen.
[Nat moves back across room with bandages, cloth and a bowl while glaring at Firo. He looks at Agape and hands bowl to him.]
Nat: You, go get some boiled water and bring it back. [Turns gaze back to Firo] When you live in a forest, you learn to treat wounds before they get infected. You’re wide open and weak if you’re busy fighting off a fever.
[Firo nods head once, moving to a chair in right corner of room (nearest door). Puts weapons on floor beside him.]
Firo: Well, I guess it can’t hurt to get treated while answering your questions.
[Iris/Asha/Fern front view as Iris stands up.]
Iris: That’s my cue to leave. I need to go pick up Patrick from Mary.
[Iris back view as Firo snorts.]
Firo: I’m amazed that relic is still alive.
[Iris front view who gives a half-hearted glare before moving towards the door. Back view as she reaches it and leaves, closing it behind her without a word. Firo front view (Nat beside him) as he sighs. Nevan front view who finishes healing Laurel and slumps in his chair, but keeps gaze on Firo. Firo front view.]
Firo: Before you ask anything, I have something to confess. The fire seal is already broken, it has been for years.
[Fern/Asha view to show shock/horror. Nevan front view who looks resigned.]
Nevan: You broke it, right?
[Firo front view who shakes head.]
Firo: The actual seal Ignatius broke, but I was the one who went into the fire realm and retrieved the weapon piece.
[Fern/Asha front view.]
Fern: So that weapon piece [Brief shot of weapon piece on floor beside Firo, then back] is from the fire realm?
[Firo front view who is looking down at weapon piece. He sighs.]
Firo: No, this one is from the ice realm, and a woman named Nebula got it. Once she brought it to Ignatius, he killed her with it.
[Bird’s eye view of room as silent for a few seconds. Door opens and Agape comes in with the bowl of water. Agape front view who looks around at everyone, nervous. Nevan front view.]
Nevan: What about the other seals? We know the water one is safe.
[Firo front view who arches an eyebrow.]
Firo: The water seal? That was the latest one I was sent to.
[Pan over to Agape who cries out in alarm.]
Agape: But Tallulah has always guarded the entrance! She said it was safe!
[Firo/Agape front view/Nat side view, who takes bowl from Agape and moves to bend in front of Firo (now back view) as he starts cleaning Firo’s wound.]
Firo: Tallulah had already broken it when I got there. To break the water seal you need the blood of a water immortal. They used Candence’s, but they also betrayed her and gave some of her blood to Ignatius. His ally, Nebula, used it to steal Candence’s strength so she could fight Leila.
[Nevan front view, who sags down in exhaustion.]
Nevan: Great, that’s three already. Anymore?
[Firo front view who shuffles a little, looking guilty.]
Firo: The earth was the first one broken. Only the one in Malhand remains untouched.
[Bird’s eye view of room as all quiet. Fern front view, who looks up at Firo/camera.]
Fern: I don’t understand. What are these seals for? Immortals can go into their own realms, right? So what does breaking the seals unlock?
[Firo front view, still looking down.]
Firo: When the original Firo created the realms, she also created an extra, hidden area in each one. Here she hid the weapon pieces. Only with her blood, or my blood, and the blood of an immortal of that realm can you break the seal and make this area public to all in that realm…She did this in case anything happened that required the weapon’s power, but in a way only she could approve its retrieval.
[Nevan front view.]
Nevan: Where are the other pieces now?
[Firo front view.]
Firo [looks up]: With Dagan. That’s why if you take this piece to him, [nods head at weapon piece on floor] he’ll know I sent you, and might actually cooperate. But come see me before you leave; I need to give you something else too. Now [looks at Fern (off screen)] didn’t you have a question?
[Fern front view as she stands up from bed and nods. Side view as she walks across room (camera follows her) until stood in front of Firo. She takes her necklace in her hand and holds it up for him to see.]
Fern: These necklaces, what do they mean? How do you know who to send them to?
[Firo front view, who looks serious. Firo back view (so can see Fern’s reactions).]
Firo: The necklaces themselves mean nothing; they represent a tattoo I can see on only a few people. For a long time I didn’t know what they meant either. Baptista told me they are people who are important, or will do something important.
[Nevan front view.]
Nevan: So Agape?
[Firo front view as he looks/turns to Agape. Firo back view to see Agape blink. Firo’s point of view, able to see a giant flame symbol on Agape’s face (blue coloured).]
Firo: He has the biggest tattoo I have ever seen.
[Fern back view as she starts talking, Firo turns back to face her.]
Fern: But most of us you’ve never met before; how did you know where to send the necklaces?
[Firo shrugs.]
Firo: I just get a feeling and follow it.
[Fern close side view as she takes a half-step forward, looking desperate.]
Fern: But…[looks down] Do you know anything about me? You helped me kill Marcellus. Do you know why I have the power I do?
[Firo front view/Fern back view. Firo frowns.]
Firo: I don’t know; I’ve never met a mortal who can see through illusions and deceptions without Anellan eyes before. But it seems you have to be aware of it or have your guard up before your mind protects you.
[Firo back view.]
Fern: It’s not just that; I can block people’s own mind links to magical devices. But I can’t affect their mind directly.
[Fern back view as Firo frowns, looking slightly up. Firo front view as he squints, then gaze goes slack, looking into the distance. Firo back view to see the others shocked/curious gazes. Fern back view to see Firo has closed his eyes. Slowly opens them again, gazing at Fern.]
Firo [dream-like quality]: In Laven, there’s an elf called Eilir, he will have better answers for you.
[Firo blinks rapidly, coming out of daze, and gives Fern a soft glare.]
Firo: And what do you mean killed Marcellus? Only an immortal weapon piece could kill him.
[Firo back view as Fern stares at him, perplexed.]
Fern: Erm, thanks for the tip, but Marcellus is dead. He burnt to ash when your flames touched him. You don’t need a weapon to kill them.
[Firo close side view who frowns.]
Firo [thoughts]: I guess I did kill Ignatius without the weapon, but I transformed to do it. With Marcellus I wasn’t even there.
[Firo sighs.]
Firo [thoughts]: I guess I still don’t understand how to use my own powers.
[Firo back view.]
Firo: Well, keep that to yourself, okay? I already get enough trouble from immortals challenging me; they’ll probably all come at once if they knew that.
[Firo front view as he bends down, picking up weapon piece and Laurel’s broken weapon from floor. Firo side view as he walks past Fern and hands items to Nevan. Close up of hands as he gives them to him.]
Firo: I wish you luck.
[Scene change to town’s entrance (inside looking out), early morning, with group stood under archway, ready to leave. Firo back view, who is stood in front of them. Nevan moves forward to stand in front of him. Close hand view as Firo passes a small vial filled with blood to Nevan. Nevan back view.]
Firo: This is my current blood; it will let you open the last seal. Get the final weapon piece before Earl does.
[Firo back view as Nevan nods. Nevan back view as Firo gives him a serious look.]
Firo: You’ve made your choice; I hope it doesn’t cause you too much pain.
[Firo back view as Nevan gives him a puzzled look, then frowns and gives a determined nod. Moves past Firo (off screen). Fern moves in front of Firo and smiles.]
Fern: Thanks for all your help. Enjoy your freedom.
[Firo nods as she passes by. Agape comes next.]
Firo: Remember, no matter what, stay alive.
[Agape looks sullen, but nods, moving past. Nat takes his place, looking mildly annoyed.]
Nat [thoughts]: What’s with this stupid line-up?
[Nat back view as Firo gives him a sympathetic stare.]
Firo: No matter what happens, don’t give up, okay? I know from experience betrayal isn’t always the end.
[Firo back view as Nat gives him a confused frown and moves past him. Laurel takes his place. Laurel back view as Firo nods at him.]
Firo: Thanks for your help. I wouldn’t be free otherwise.
[Firo back view as Laurel gives a tight smile, holding up his broken weapon so Firo can see.]
Laurel: It was thanks to the necklace you gave me. Why did you give only me a weapon piece?
[Laurel back view as Firo shrugs, looking dazed.]
Firo: It just felt right. To be honest, I wasn’t sure it would work as a proper immortal weapon. I created it, not the original Firo. But I knew you would need it most, and I wasn’t wrong.
[Firo back view as Laurel looks shocked but then nods and smiles.]
Laurel: Thank you, I promise to use it well…once I find a blacksmith.
[Laurel moves past him, Asha takes his place, looking nervous. Looks down, wringing hands together.]
Asha: I’m glad you have your freedom…Maybe you can now be the person you once were.
[Asha back view as Firo frowns.]
Firo: Do I know you from somewhere?
[Firo back view as Asha looks up at him, silently debating then smiles and shakes her head. She leans closer and whispers in his ear.]
Asha: Goodbye Dimitri.
[While narrator talking Asha moves past him off screen, Firo turns round after her (now front view) looking shocked/confused.]
Narrator: Some meetings are brief, destined never to occur again. And sometimes to spare the most pain, the connection should be broken before it can be forged.
[From behind Firo see Iris coming, pulling a cart with bags and Patrick on. Firo frowns and turns around to face her. Iris back view.]
Narrator: And sometimes connections that have been strained for so long finally need to be cut.
Firo: What are you doing?
[Firo back view as Iris gives him a sad smile.]
Iris: I can’t do it anymore, Dint. This place has Aaron’s presence everywhere. I can’t pretend everything’s fine anymore. And…I can’t watch you destroy yourself either. I hope you’ll be happy now, but I can’t hang onto a faint hope you’ll become the person you once were.
[Iris back view to see Firo’s disbelief/terror.]
Firo: So you’re just uprooting your whole life? I can’t leave Firo, Iris. This is goodbye forever.
Narrator: Before the whole thread breaks.
[Firo back view to see Iris’ determined face.]
Iris: I know.
[Iris back view.]
Firo: So you’re giving up on me, then? Aaron never gave up.
[Firo back view.]
Iris: I know, and it killed him.
[Firo front view as he flinches. Iris front view who gives apologetic smile.]
Iris: Patrick needs one parent to stay alive. I’m sorry Dint.
[Firo back view as Iris begins moving past him, not meeting his gaze. Change to Firo side view as she passes.]
Narrator: And the freedom we’ve longed for, for so long, is suddenly empty and meaningless.
[Firo back view as he turns in direction Iris went (now front view). Camera moves further away, then screen goes black.]
[Ending credits.]
[Episode preview.]
Omake/Extra: Randomness.
[Black screen, title reads ‘Firo reborn’.]
[Scene in fire caves. Ignatius back view to see last of fire die away, leaving only a pile of ash. Ignatius front view who looks bemused.]
Ignatius: This is how you chose to end your life? Pathetic.
[Ignatius back view, then pan out to an Arlen back view, hovering in air from a safe distance. Arlen front view, face blank, watching the ash. Ash close view as begins to stir. Side view as a small lizard weakly crawls out, croaking. Ignatius back view who sweat drops.]
Ignatius: I take it back, this is even more pathetic.
[Side view of both as lizard comes closer, nibbling at Ignatius’ foot. Lizard’s point of view as Ignatius raises foot and brings it down on top of it.]
[Screen goes black, title reads ‘Ignatius reborn’.]
[Scene at fire caves (fires all gone out), dragon gone. Can still see Ignatius’ pile of ash and another where the dragon was stood before. See it tremor. Close side view of ash pile as a hand breaks through, followed by Firo’s head, who’s coughing (covered in ash). Change to side view (so can see Firo on right), see a big, flaming bull leap from Ignatius’ pile, landing just in front of Firo’s head. Firo’s head back view.]
Bull [echo effect]: You think you’re the only one who can rise from the ashes?
[Firo’s point of view as bull raises hoof and brings it down on head.]
[Screen black, title reads ‘Waiting for Agape’.]
[Scene opens to Inn room. Firo front view who is looking down at weapon piece. He sighs.]
Firo: No, this one is from the ice realm, and a woman named Nebula got it. Once she brought it to Ignatius, he killed her with it.
[Bird’s eye view of room as silent for a few seconds. Door opens and Agape comes in with the bowl of water. Agape front view who looks at everyone, annoyed.]
Agape: You didn’t wait for me before starting the explanations? [Turns to Firo] I thought I was important!
[Firo front view who blinks, turning gaze to Agape. Firo side view/Agape front view (Firo’s head still turned to Agape).]
Firo: I’m sorry; the tattoo on you is so big that you must be a delinquent. I thought it was better you didn’t hear the details in case you did something rash and got yourself killed.
Agape [confused]: I don’t have a tattoo.
[Firo close face view, crazy-eyed look.]
Firo: You all have tattoos! I can see them.
[Bird’s eye view of room to show awkward silence.]
[End]
